Cliff loved hugging this evergreen tree in the Rockies…very different from anything in New Zealand.

This is my favorite ponderosa pine in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. I hug it every time I hike the trail around Sprague Lake. I’ve introduced my tree to people of all ages!

I can climb them to escape unrestrained dogs when walking through the park.
