I hugged this Eucalyptus tree (Myrtacea species) for about 10 minutes.  It made me happy.  I thought about nature and being calm.

I hugged this Norfolk Island Pine tree (Araucaria Heterophylla) for 1 minute.  I love trees because they keep us alive so I think we should be nice to them.

They are fun to hug and kiss. What’s not to love. All kids need trees to climb, to lay underneath and gaze at the leaves and attract the birds and the possums. My house is surrounded by trees and full of the songs of birds.

I cannot imagine a world without trees. I love the shade, the beauty, the strength, the way they shelter us all from the elements. provide the oxygen we need to breathe and the food we need to eat. Trees are a miracle of nature. Under a tree I can breathe in the air and breathe…  Read More

They give me shade and they sway, as if speaking a language that soothes, as if giants forever on this world, looking at us, standing stoic amidst the change.

This picture is a giant Sequoia tree from the Sequoia National Park in California. Some of the trees in this park are over 3000 years old. They can grow to over 95m tall and have trunk diameters of over 8m.

They moderate our urban environment, clean our air, cool our neighbourhoods, buffer our homes from storms, and provide a peaceful sanctuary from the noisy city.

This beautiful holly tree in my garden in Melbourne reminds me of the holly trees where I grew up in Ireland

I love where there is space left for a tree in a built-up area.

I love trees since they are the green heart in a city. In old parks you can find peace in the middle of a city
