The oak trees of Ivenaker Eichen (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivenacker_Eichen) are 800-1000 years old! They are so majestic and let us feel that we are quite small. Their majesty leaves you very humble. Click on the picture and scroll down to see a close-up view.
It’s incredible how this magnificent creation: “the tree” can remove CO₂ and give us oxygen, but even more amazing is how it can turn anguish into peace and tranquility.
I hug this ‘nanche’ tree (Byrsonima crassifolia), because despite urbanization and the invasion of humans into its natural space, it remains strong and beautiful. Year after year, it gifts us the richness of its fruits. Always beautiful, always strong, always standing tall.

I really love trees! for their shade, their freshness, and the way the wind brings their branches to life. The sound they make is so relaxing. It’s so important that children learn from kindergarten to care for plants and trees, for the life they hold and give. I love trees, kids and this initiative!
