We love trees as they give us so much – air, shade, food, materials, beauty. When walking through the bush, their presence is grounding and the more we learn about them the more sentient they become. Trees are our past and they should be the centre of our future.

they are beautiful, provide us air to breathe, and occasionally provide a way to communicate. Here I was using the buttress roots to make a call heard across the forest.

I hugged this Karri tree, Western Australia’s giant tree (Eucalyptus diversicolor) for 1 minute. I felt grounded, and I wondered how big they are above and below ground.  I love trees because they provide us with oxygen
